Percussion soloist Timothy Feeney joins CUWinds for a performance of Steven Stucky’s Concerto for Percussion and Wind Ensemble. Wind Ensemble also performs Stucky’s Hue and Cry; both in honor of his 60th birthday. Look for a few birthday surprises as well!! Other music on the program includes a new work by Dana Wilson performed by the Wind Symphony, as well as music by Alfred Reed, Derek Bourgeois, and Leonard Bernstein!
The CU Wind Symphony and associated student organization CU Winds unite student musicians dedicated to the study and performance of emerging and traditional wind repertoire. We explore music making as a vehicle for cross-cultural exchange and collaboration, and in doing so support Cornell's core values of public engagement and global awareness.
